I have tried so many Morellinos in the last few years, but none of them hit me like Fattoria Le Pupille Morelino di Scansano. Its softness and fruitiness were very pleasant to me and from that moment on I decided to make it one of my favorite wines. This Morellino has a little bit of Malvasia Nera and Alicante blended with it, in the best Bourdeaux style of blending wines. Elizabetta Geppetti, also called “the Lady of Morellino," is the name of the winemaker, who has been producing her wines passionately, with the same love and care that her grandfather did before. Pair it with red sauce pasta dishes or creamy cheeses; you will love it.
