Tasting Notes

Domaine Henri Gouges is a top estate in Nuits-St.-Georges. In fact, it is thought that the reason this village has many 1er Crus but no Grand Crus is that Henri, the founding member, was too modest about his holdings when the system was established in the 1930s. The estate is now run by Gouges' two sons, Pierre and Christian. The vines are 35 years old on average and the estate practices traditional vinification methods.
