Bitters! What a terrific category that offers and amazing array of aromas and flavors and plenty of versatility. The Hopped Grapefruit is one of my favorite in the store because it works well with both brown and clear spirits alike. It smells and tastes like a super concentrated, highly hopped IPA beer. The herbal bitterness, deep savory flavors and bright citrus notes play well in a wide range of cocktails. It works with: -Tequila, both silver and aged -Gin, a less traditional one with plenty of citrus notes -Whiskey, all stripes, but one with a dash of sweetness to play against the bitter -Vodka, a high quality one with a distinctive texture and flavor profile to act as a canvas.
