Tasting Notes

A fresh and vibrant style of wine from the Ribera del Duero. This wine spends 16 months in French oak barrels. Delicious with pulled pork sandwiches.

Staff Pick Notes

The art of aging wine is complex. Often a wine is over aged and may taste of wood or lose its primary fruit characteristics. This wine was aged extremely well. First, you find black fruit flavors on the palate, such as blackberry and plum. Then you get flavors of chocolate and a bit of tobacco as a finish. It's easy to drink, but it has complexity and layers to discover, and very smooth tannins. Thanks to the co-worker who introduced me to this wonderful wine.

It wasn’t until 1972 that other winemakers began to creep into the region, but now the Ribera...
