Sangiovese coming from plantings in the historic Anfiteatro vineyard that was planted in 1975. A red, full-bodied wine of structure and complexity, it embodied the best characteristics of this noble grape grown on galestro soils at a high altitude. Galestro is a schist and glacial type of soil. The wine was aged in oak for just under 3 years before bottling. Meant for the ages. A classic to enjoy with grilled steak.
