The beauty of white Burgundy is how it can perfectly balance the richness of oak with the pure, mineral expression of Burgundy terroir. It would just take one glass of this Rully to convince anyone of that. While she is the daughter of the longtime oenologist at Joseph Drouin and her family has a long history farming in Rully, Claudie makes her wines solo, essentially out of her home using a mix of estate-grown and purchased fruit. It is a flexible, eager-to-please grape, responding well to just about anything a winemaker...
