In the already rarefied world of artisanal mezcal, the batches being procured from this new brand are some of the most spectacular we have come across of late. Well worth the cost of entry. This batch was produced in Santia Maria Zoquitlan in the heart of Oaxaca by German Martinez. The flavors are very bold and beautiful with a bigger extreme than cuixe found further afield in Oaxaca. Notes range from spiced honeycomb, savory earth, a waft of smoke and salty cultured butter. Wow.
