The Firs Vineyard is located in one of the warmest areas of Stellenbosch, but the grapes here are picked early to preserve freshness and acidity. Whole cluster fermentation in stainless steel is followed by 10 months aging in used French oak. Pair this medium-bodied, fresh, peppery, fruit-forward yet savory dry red with roasted lamb with mint sauce.

Syrah

We'd like to clear this up once and for all: the Shiraz grape is genetically identical to Syrah. Australian winemakers put "Shiraz" on the map (and, many would argue, vice versa), and the term is now used throughout much of the New World.
