El Pisador Bianco is a wine for hardcore orange enthusiasts. Agricola La Mision is Elena Pantaleoni’s (of Emilia Romagna’s La Stoppa fame) natural wine project in Maule, Chile. Here’s an orange wine that starts with the intense aromas of the Moscatel grape. The juice undergoes 30 days of skin maceration, then is aged in tank for one year. Another year is added to age in bottle. In the glass, the wine shows a vibrant copper gold hue and cloudy complexion. It smells of jasmine tea, dried herbs, and warm spices. A good amount of tea-like tannins will hit your palate with flavors of charred peaches, honey nougat, herbs, and pine. It harmonizes beautifully with an English farmhouse cheddar.
