A gorgeous Italian white wine made from a blend of equal parts of a red and white variety: Sangioviese and Pecorino. The grapes were hand-harvested and destemmed before fermenting. The wine was aged for nearly a year on the lees, partially in used barriques. Pair with fish tacos.

Marches

This region lies on Italy’s Adriatic Coast, so much of its cuisine is seafood-based. Marches is best-known for its white wines. Verdicchio produced near the towns of Jesi and Matelica often has gently bitter notes and rich fruit, and is an excellent match for many seafood dishes.
