This dry red blend is composed of majority Mencía from Amandi vineyard, with 20% Garnacha and 10% Godello. Whole cluster fermentation took place in 500L open barrels, and the wine rested in 225L barrels on the lees for 9 months. Medium-bodied, aromatic, with medium stucture, this dark-fruited red will pair well with five spice roasted pork.

Though this DO was only created in 1996, wine has been produced along the “sacred banks” of the Sil River in Galicia ever since the Romans came to town, bringing with them the knowledge that terraces make the best vineyards.
