Kato Sake Works, Nigori

Item # 49829 750mL

A fresh and full-bodied dry sake, this is made from Calrose rice polished to 60%. Coarsely flitered, it retains some of the sake lees, giving this cloudy and rich sake a creamy texture. Aromas of apples, herbs, and white chocolate will pair well with a cemita from your local taco truck.

Staff Pick Notes

After 20 years of working in business and IT, Shinobu Kato decided to devote himself to his first passion...Sake. In 2016, he settled in Bushwick and built his brewery from scratch. Kato currently offers over ten varieties of brew which can be enjoyed at their bar in Bushwick. Their Nigori is a touch off dry and shows flavors of Asian pear, cucumber, and wet rice. The touch of sweetness and rich texture make it a great accompaniment for spicy curries.
